Theres different burners that write to different medias. I started off with a Hitachi 2500 which can only write to DVD-RAM. I returned this because DVD-RAMs are expensive...

The burn was successful but when i try to play the movie on my dvd player, it doesnt play anything. My DVD player doesnt even read the DVD....

The pioneer ones are good but they only burn till 4.7 G . The panasonic burns till 9. something G. Most movies are betweet 5 and 8 GB. Hope this helps.
