Thanks, the cog was marked on the prime positions for DVD-R and CD-R. Sucker still won't boot any disc though, in any of the marked positions or otherwise.

Over adjusted laser

Hi, was adjusting the laser cog, and adjusted around an entire rotation counter clockwise, it made a skipping noise, which I then realized was a spot on the gear with no teeth. I tried to rotate it...

My ps2 doesn't like to read cddd's anymore. It loves my yudens though. Has anyone backed ARMAX EVO to DVD here? I got my Gameshark to work that way.

Thanks. I just checked over at rima.com and they have 100 packs of 16x for $40. I wouldn't chance it though, it says in the info that they use G03 dye. Maybe if I could find them in a sampler pack....

What chips do automatic PAL->NTSC conversions? Do they work well?

This is one of the features that I really wish I had. Do any of you have it? Are there any issues, or can you pop a PAL disk into a NTSC machine and just go?
