Can i rip the DP folders in order to gain space ?

If i want to selfboot a game as Cool Cool Toon, can i rip the DP folders ?

DPETC
DPFONT
DPMODEL
DPSS
DPTEX
DPWWW

by replacing all the files by empty ones...
