Cats know exactly what they're doing. (I have three. :)) Your cat is feeling uncomfortable and peeing on the wrong spot is one of the ways he's trying to tell this to you. Don't scold him, it won't work; actually, just the opposite: it will only make him even more uncomfortable.

EzzEldin16 15-08-2017 12:32

you must train him to piss in the litter box and give it some time because he will not learn from the first time make smell his litter box and show anger if he pissed outside the box light hit might work

You mean spanking? Nope, doesn't work on cats at all. I speak from experience. They are not dogs. Dogs treat a light spank as punishment and will usually refrain from bringing it onto them again but cats will treat it as hostility and will become more untamed, wilder and feral.

Wow Guys on dogs and cats are well informed, so if I have problems to compress and decompress a cat, I can ask you for help...:D

Exactly!

Perhaps, spraying some water on them (cats like cleaning themselves, most hate water and bathing) might help but not necessarily. Make sure that you do it fast, right after they've been bad, so that they can mentally link the two together: acting bad causes punishment. Otherwise, they will think that you don't like them at all.

Raising your voice can serve as a training. As I wrote, they know exactly what they're doing, you don't have to remind them ;); it is important that you have to show that you also know what they're doing and you don't like it. Like with children, raised voice as a warning before they act bad may be able to stop them but not always.

@WaltonSimons not a spank because i know it's not gonna work maybe not giving what they want for awhile not a day so the cat learn that they did something wrong and show that you are not happy and don't want to play with them cats are alot like children but less annoying

That won't work. You have to be fast with the punishment - whatever the punishment is -, otherwise he won't understand that you're punishing him for that particular (mis)behavior.

EzzEldin16 18-08-2017 01:54

Punishment needs to be fast and effective so punishment will be one time no more

Okay guys... Thanks for inform all that you teach me to train the cats... Otherwise the cats can do it again as gonna uncomfortable... Maybe I should try at least gonna work!! :D
