How to play .bk2 videos and re-encode them properly?

Hello guys,
I can't seems to find any tool around to play the .bk2 video even on RADTools site and no much talk about it.
I want to be able to view them through any kind of player and re-encode them to lower their size.
can you provide me with the proper tools please?
Thanks.

reply from someone who asked this for another game, need to convert to avi first, then re-encode to reduce size, should then be able to convert back to bk2.

do a google search for bk2 converter & go thru the results, the reply was somewhere on first page or so.

Only to BINK1, no public available tool can convert to BINK2

The latest version has the option to convert to BINK2. :-)

Edit:
Damn RAD !
The option is there ,but no executable behind it!
grrr.

Its on this forum, in the software section, first topic.
Unpack exe for bink 2 to your installed rad tools dir, rename to bink2c.exe then run the app. You will get message that version dont match, but you can use UI and compress bk2.

Note that some bk2 files have no audio but still encoded sound track of 8bit mono. if you recoding with audio ON, you get app crash so disable audio encoding from UI for those files.

Thanks but it's really a pain in the a** to hit Done each time a video finishes encoding, is there a switch to auto close the window and start the next video?

The utility is structured this way, you can create a sequence from the command line with the path of all video files to be recoded, with the possibility of simultaneously doing them, but with the negativity of putting the CPU under stress.;)

be careful using the radtools or bink encoder you need to know what you are doing or you could lose sound and the game can crash when a cutscene comes up.
another problem i've seen happen on the game DMC-Devil May cry for example the video was indeed reduced but alot of the sound like peoples voices were missing they were mute...if you do not know how to edit text files that go along with the video then i highly recommend against trying to re encode them...
if you do know how happy re encoding :D

The actual radtools skips those windows unless it finds no sound then you get a popup but it sucks for bk2 but ive found you can batch bk2 if you alter them in the batch list to be saved as bk2 its tedious but it works the bik files on the otherhand take less work

i know FitGirl already posted this but if you dont want a bunch of windows this is you're best bet

this is the only way you will avoid windows because you can encode in a batch

I tried taking the binkc.exe in this thread, renaming it, and putting it in the RADVideo folder to use for encoding a bink 2 video, but I get an error saying that it can't find the library binkmake.dll even though this file is already present. The Bk2_Enc.cmd doesn't seem to do anything. I have 4 uncompressed AVIs (both video and audio) at 1080p30 and a .lst file for joining them all into a single video, so I'm curious what I need to do to get this to work properly.

@doofoo24

bink.exe /T0 /C2 /L4 /U8 /D70 /O "In.bik" "Out.bik"

T# : Track Id Sound (0 Default) ... is en.

C# : Force output channels (mono / stereo).

L# : Sound Compression (0 lossless) , (4 percetibly lossless), other more very lossy.

U# : Specify maximum number of CPU to use.

D# : Specify data rate compresss.

O# : Overwrite Output File.
