Patches?
 

Are these patches the whole game or just parts of the game?

Patches 'fix' something in the game, like it will allow you to play a NTSC only game on your PAL DC or it will allow you to save (as in the Tokyo xtreme saving fix). So they are more like additions to the game, if you want.
