repack Final Fantasy Xiii

Hello , I want to repack Final Fantasy Xiii
I managed to repack all the game except Movie Folder
8.76 GB ----> 3.49 [Antiz+Srep64+lzma]
the problem is the Movie Folder it has 19.8 GB *.WMP
So any ideas to make it's size less even if i re-encoded it :)
other question if i converted the videos into wav .. will this affect the videos of the game like .. not working or damaged ??

I guess there is no way to size down video files without re-encode.

ChronoCross 24-08-2016 13:18

Is wasted time. You can reencode to lossless but the time and size is too much.

felice2011 24-08-2016 13:31

Most times the bit-rate of the video of the games are overly large, try to re-encode the bit-rate decreasing by 30%-40% while maintaining the same video resolution, by eye the loss of quality is imperceptible, and the decrease in the size of the file will be almost halved .

you may want to try a piece of software called handbrake or Super both are free and work really well.

http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

https://handbrake.fr/

you will have to play around are see what setting suites you and mostly if it will work in the game.

^those kind of programs can't be used directly on those WMP files. Last time I checked, those WMP files are actually BINK video containers so first thing you can't really compress them, the only option is to downsample them.

mikey26 25-08-2016 11:26

then your only option is radvideotools if they not normal wmv files.
