Battlefield Hardline 9XDVD5
Thanks to Yener for script, Razor12911 for modifications

1. Install the game. Update game to latest version, apply NO-CD if necessary.

2. Download attachment, extract to HD, NOT in Gamefolder.

3. Run UltraARC, Browse/Select Your installed game, then choose output location.

4. Test the conversion, before burning ISO.

5. Then burn folder contents to DVDs with same folder name.

DVD1-4.37GB
.

.
DVD8-4.37GB
DVD9-676MB

IF using DVD5 then:
First Volume size = 4460
Custom Volume Size = 4480
Threshold Percent = 30

IF using DVD9 then:
First Volume size = 7930
Custom Volume Size = 7950
Threshold Percent = 30

You can go to Win32\Loc & remove all languages not needed, save about 10GB
& reduces to 7DVD5

9dvds? This is silly. Can you get DVD9 conversion please?

prudislav 15-08-2015 00:01

might be 7 if you remove the additional voiced languages (iirc there is 12gig of voiceovers)

I take a question, you guys abandoned the previous conversion of method and why? Because with this new method we need a good free space to install the game, as he unpacks first to the Temp folder and then install the game, and already the old method the game was installed directly from ISO images without the need of predicted unpacking.

Is there a way to save time durirng conversion? I spent ~1hr just for the 1st data.cab.
pakrat2k2 can you remove the compresion? Its ok it will fit on more dvds.

My rig:
CPU: i5-4460 @ 3.2 Ghz
GPU: GTX 970 @ 4GB DDR 5
RAM: 8 GB DDR
SSD: 240 GB

prudislav 15-08-2015 08:22

brazilia: just delete the words in method in ultraarc ini
The_Killer: Just set some threshold lower to something like 11(for DVD5s if you rip other VOs) and disable splitting

Then looks if I understand correctly, if I choose ThresholdPercent = 11 or lower will prevent decompression in the Temp folder and will install directly from the ISO image? How do I disable the division? Sorry because I'm not very good at conversions, it is that the first conversions friends used the INNO SETUP COMPILER or .bat file and had no need to have hard disk space for unpacking. I hope I was good explanatory ok. :)

Look to bottom of first post for DVD9 info. You just edit UltraARC.ini BEFORE
starting conversion to set it for DVD9's. Just like ANY conversion that uses UltraARC now, you don't want dvd5 then change the ini to match.

Smurf Stomper 15-08-2015 16:35

is it possible to remove the multiplayer files? Assuming we can figure out which .cas files they are of the 32 installed...

Just set the threshold to 1 if you don't want setup to use a lot of space in temp, the new method of making conversions was made because games like far cry 4 have very big files that do not fit in a dvd5, that's why somethings get splitted, so that they can fit your media, the other thing that we try to avoid in setting a threshold low is many archives will be created, imagine 200 archives in your first dvd, the other disadvantage of setting low threshold the output is bigger if compression is applied, bat and ultraarc, just do the same thing only difference is that bat gives conversion makers a headache making file lists and etc. Trust me, this is the best method, bats leave space in other DVDs, you get DVD1 = 4.02GB, DVD2 =3.89GB, DVD3 = 3.67GB. Ultraarc fills in those spaces making every disc equal DVD1-6 = 4.37GB, This prevents you from using many DVDs when burning.

zyo 16-08-2015 12:28

removed extra language and result is 4DVD9

Droppo 16-08-2015 21:50

UltraARC issues with some files coz of the known bug with accents
