? - copy a self-booting dc-copy

Hi, my bro-in-law loaned me a couple DC games that one of his friends coppied for him. I have searched these forums for instructions on how to burn a copy of these coppies, tried a couple of the programs listed to work, now have 2 more coasters. I understand that different harware setups will yield different results, so, here is my info:

Writer: PlexWriter 12/10/32A
Source Drive: Generic 48x (works great though)
Software used: Nero 5.0.3.9, CloneCD 3.0.0.17, CDRWin 4.0A, and DiscDupe 2000 (came with writer)
Games to be coppied: Unreal Tournament and MSR USA (both self-boot and play perfectly fine)

If there are any tips any of you could give me and any others having problems doing this, please reply. Also, if there is any more info that I left out that would be helpfull, please just let me know.

Thanks, Lin

Get yourself a Copy of Diskjuggler V3

It copies CD to CDR and works everytime.
it can be found here ... ####://www.cdrsoft.net/
get a keygen and happy burning.

Thanks for the help. I got DJ3 and a serial for it, made a .cdi of the dc copy, then burned it at 1x. The copy it made will get to the "Infogrames" screen (the company that made the game) but then locks up there, and sometimes my DC starts to make a whistling sound.

Are there any special settings I need to #####? Is 1x the best for doing this, or can I go at 2x +? Should I just go from CD > CDR, or is CD > .cdi > CDR best?

Thanks again, Lin
