The Vanishing of Ethan Carter 1xDVD5 *CIU 2.0.2*

4 Attachment(s)
Based on: CIU 2.0.2 by yener90
Compression method by: peterf1999 and Fabioddq
Art: found online and ingame
Music: Game OST by Mikolai Stroinski
Tested on: Win7 Home Premium 64bit and Win7 Ultimate 32bit
Final size: ~ 2,80 GB's (without extras staff)

NOTE:
I suggest you move your bonus stuff (if you have it in game folder) and then add it to ISO file.

1. Install the game and extract attachment somewhere on your computer, NOTin the game installation directory
2. Start Compress.bat, enter the path of your installation folder, wait for it to compile
3. Make ISO files and test before burning

Awesome looking installer, the extra's will still fit, just finalizing compression of entire
game + extras ( extra's only 1.8GB & should compress nicely as mostly images + soundtrack )

For an 11GB game to compress down to 2.8GB amazing compression. Don't understand why publishers insist on such HUGE game downloads for the games you can purchase digitally ... oh well that's the way it goes.

You're right. Extras will fit along with the main game on 1 DVD5. I'm also wondering why they don't compress their games, especially with the digitally download games, as you say. This one, Wasteland 2, Dead Island, etc. One more thing which bothers me even more is the movies. I hate when they make movies with the ingame engine instead of CGI and they make them HUGE. Max Payne 3 and Castlevania: LoS comes to mind :mad:

You make folder called Extras or Bonus stuff and put it with your cabs and then make ISO file out of it ;)

OR you can compress it with gamefiles & will STILL fit on DVD5

Will have to take a look at compress.bat to verify if files need to be added ??

Yes, you can leave it in the game folder and it will be added to Data2.cab ;)

Great amazing graphics - good job!
One thing... Could you be so kind and modify your script to use filename "setup.bin" in installer?

Make Setup.ini beside your Setup.exe and enter the following

Code:

[ExtractSettings]
FreeArcFile1=Setup1.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1;
FreeArcFile2=Setup2.bin;DestDir:{app};Disk:1;

and change the names of cabs to the same name you enter here ;)
