1. Install game & UPDATE to v1.2 MUST as exe's now in different folder
2. MOVE _Commonredist to Conversion folder THIEF_1
3. Download file, extract to HD. Run compress.bat wait for finish
4. Test Install / Uninstall Before burning to DVD

Does your conversion works with Update 4 (v1.3.4118.5) ?
I would like to use your conversion, some nice graphics and arts. ^^

officially only 2 updates, after day 1 release update. But still version 1.3.4118.5 should work fine..

The ONLY thing is, add unins* to Data1e.lst, so that any uninstall files don't get included in Data1.cab.

Missed last update somehow ??? So am going thru complete repack ( installed game files to double check
against last run ) Will post back if any major change needed... doubtful tho ;)

yes you must at least have v1.2 update installed, as the previous version had the exe's in different location.

Works 100% with update v1.4 build 4133.3.

Can upgrade and convert without problem.

A simple question, why not increase the number of. Cab for DVD as well as I like to write games with more than 3 DVD5 DVD9 in with a file. Cab just does not fit the DVD 1 and DVD 2 into one DVD9.

If I understand your question correctly, you want to put 4xDVD5 onto 2xDVD9 but Data1 and Data2 cab files are to big to fit onto 1xDVD9?

If so, then this is easy.

Pakrat uses 'yener's Scripts. Since version 11 of yener90's script, there is a feature where users can modify the files to ExtractFiles.
Just create a Setup.ini file with your [Extractfiles] values and Save the ini file in the same folder as the Setup.exe.
This additional ini will 'override' the settings in Setup.exe but only works for the following settings:

ExtractSettings
Language
Executables/Shortcuts
Launcher/Redist installation

The rest will be used by force by the internal file. So even though you can change a few settings, you still cannot edit the graphics etc, they are all protected and can not be altered.

The other thing you cannot change, is the Disk Prompt. If you take a 4xDVD5 game and change it to a 2xDVD9 conversion, the DVD9 conversion will prompt for 'Disc 3' when it actually wants 'Disc 2'. But that part is trivial. ;)

Once I get my HD replaced, I'll redo the conversion for DVD9 version. ATM I have absolutely no time. Daughter's wedding this weekend, so I'll be away from the forum till at least Monday, possibly longer.

Expenses' too high to justify new HD, so until that's done, the conversion will be on hold, but I will get it done eventually.

Yes exactly, put in the same example conversion of 4 DVD5 at least 2. Cab for DVD, thus it has a DVD 4.3GB 2. Cab just over 2.1GB of to put on a DVD9 at least 7GB, 2 . cab DVD1 DVD2 over the other, or to stay put better. cabs 1.4GB.
