Select Game Directory(Select folder whereby Inside there is Prototype and Prototype 2 Folders You have BOTH games Installed to same base folder ? IE: C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision where Prototype & Prototype2 are subfolders ... C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Prototype & C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Prototype2 Then installer should work properly.. will have to dig out games & test. But in meantime, post back if you have them installed properly. |
Yes, I installed both games in the same folder.
http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/3836/kf8t.jpg I even tried to rename the folder Prototype 2 to Prototype2, but it didn't work. |
will check out the problem with conversion and will update it right away.
|
i made it "nearly" working:
i edit converter.ini and i change every SELDIRPATH with my installation path (the one in which i installed both games) so basicaly the conversion don't get our installation path when we select it. once i did this, i found another problem: the conversion run just fine but at the end it didn't put the files inside the resource folder (autorun.ini, setup.exe ect) in the DVD folders |

I think you can copy files manually. It will be like this: setup.exe, setup.cab, setup.ini, autorun1.inf, icon.ico, autorun.exe -> DVD1 autorun2.inf, icon.ico -> DVD2 autorun3.inf, icon.ico -> DVD3 autorun4.inf, icon.ico -> DVD4 Remember to rename autorun1/2/3/4.inf in every DVD folders to autorun.inf. I will test it soon as i can, but it should work. EDIT: Yup, it works perfectly :) Thanks everyone for help |

Is it correct two games on the same folder? :confused: Prototype 2 files replaces the files from Prototype 1... very strange? Any help? Thanks for this conversion, good work! |
@DarkSyrius
I have not done the conversion but from what I understand from reading the original post and post #4 by pakrat is the path to the folder for the conversion is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision .... and inside the 'Activision' folder you should have another 2 folders named 'Prototype' and 'Prototype 2' thus allowing each game to be installed in their own corresponding folder. ;) That's the way I see it and it makes sense but I am sure if I am wrong then either Razor or pakrat will soon correct me. :D |

I have understood what you have said, but I had no problems with the conversion - what pakrat have said is about the conversion process and it worked properly for me! The installation also worked well, but I cannot install both games at the same time, it works only with one game at a time! If I install both games, only can play Prototype 2 and the first one crasches on startup! When I install only Prototype 1, it works very well! And in the Activision folder is created only subfolder Prototype Collection with the files of both game! Very strange! :confused: See what I said? Thanks again! I will try one more time ;) Sorry my english is a very rusty but I'm still studying! |
Hi, can you update the conversion to the latest DSG? Thank you:)
