Still not able to download files
Well, here's a further post on the problem.
First I run NoScript on Firefox (whatever the latest version is.) Nextly, when I log on GameCopyWorld: 1) I get the Main Site/ Mirror Sites page 2) I click Main Site 3) I get "Important Notice" page. 4) I click "Enter". 5) Now here's where things are different: When I click "Enter" I do not get the GameCopyWorld home page; I get a notice saying "Please enable JavaScript!". Now, I do not, in fact, have Javascript enabled, because it is a tremendous security risk. But I used to be able to log on to GameCopyWorld and download files with Javascript disabled. But the "Please enable JavaScript!" page first appeared on the exact same visit that I was no longer able to download. And in fact, no matter what options I choose in NoScript, I *always* get that "Killed the referrer" page. So I hope that maybe this will enable you to fix the problem. |
Confirmed; I get the "Please, enable Javascript!" message in Opera when Javascript is disabled.
Mind you, though, I am paranoid about security, too, and have my firewall/virus scanner/browser configured accordingly, Javascript in itself is not a "tremendous" security risk. Exactly because a well-configured firewall and virus scanner will catch everything anyway. |
