is dc coders cable plug and play?
 

i bought a pc-dc serial cable. when installed it doesnt work!! it says connection failed but its firmly connected to the port. what do you think is wrong?

You must do this settings:
Set setting for the COM Port being used to:
a) Buad Rate = 115200kps
b) Data Bit = 8 bit
c) Parity Bit = None
d) Stop Bit = 1 bit
e) Flow Control = Hardware
