no, dont re-convert the game, change the background in setup.cab/Setup/installer.jpg with something black, see if it's there or not

Senseman thanks for the great installer :)

I have a question if you could help please - I'm trying to change the installer.jpg within the setup.cab file to make it darker so that the 'Browse' button can be seen clearly. If I unzip the Setup.cab file to change the installer.jpg file and then zip the folder back up and rename it to Setup.cab the setup.exe file won't display any pictures when I run it :(

Can you please tell me how to re-create a working Setup.cab file so that the setup.exe file will display pictures correctly whilst the game in installing?

Big thanks in advance :)

Open Setup.cab with winrar, drag the new picture to same place with current one, wait it to overwrite (it's instant generally) close winrar, done.

REV0 - really huge thanks - great to see a simple solution :)

I've changed the pictures to make them darker so the dialogue boxes are easier to see.

Now I have the new problem that the text in the installer is black and impossible to see against a dark background :(

Need to work out how to make the text in the installer White now!

:)

find this line:

SetupFontColor

change/overwrite with this:

SetupFontColor=$ffffff

Thanks again REV0 - got it looking great now :)

Just a shame as someone else mentioned before that the options to install DirectX and Visual C++ etc are missing from the installer :(

UPDATE - if you can't see the options to install DirectX, Visual C++, GFWL etc it might be because you're runing a 32bit OS so change the 5 lines in setup.ini from 'Launch164=1' to 'Launch164=0' etc

Worked for me :)
