 The Play button appears when you have the game installed. Use to run the game by autorun.
If you're having the game installed, you can not see the install button, only the play button.

If you do not uninstall the game properly, just deleted the folder, you have to remove the registry entries in Windows. Otherwise, the installer will think the game is still installed.

If this is your case, open the Start Menu and type "regedit" and run. Search (ctrl + F) for the entrie "2K Games" and delete the folder "The Darkness II". That done the install button appears again. :):)
Thanks!

No problem dude! You can customize the installer to your taste!
if you wish, post a link to download the music if someone else wants to add it.
Thanks! :D

np sounds great and thanx
you just need to extract the MenuMusic.rar to your The Darkness II_v1.0 directory and overwrite files already there then follow Fabioddq's guide..
the AMusicLoop.mp3 is cut down to 2:17
and the InstallLoop.mp3 is left alone which is 5:15
i saw it only fitting to add this song as the commercial i kept seeing had this song an it goes with the game hope u all enjoy it

You packed *.bin files with original unins0000.* files. Delete them from the archives

you need to add in your explanation, for users to REMOVE Original Uninstall files elsewhere, while doing the conversion.
then once completed move them back, or you get the error message same as Theodor stated.

Fabioddq 12-03-2012 20:41

@Pakrat2k2

I added the line in my explanation:

Note: Remove the original uninstall files before you make the conversion.

Thanks for help!
