Grand Teft Auto IV issue
 

Hi there,

First of all, i am new on this forum and this is my firs post on this site. So if i did post this Thread in a wrong place i apologize.

I have an issue that's been annoying me for some time regarding the gameplay of gta 4?
I started playing the game in December. Everything went smooth, all grafic option on high, i managed to play about half of the game.
Last month my game , sunddenly started to freeze every time i tap two keys on my keyboard (ps2). First i thought it was my video card and i have updated my drivers. But that would not do the trick. I mention that i have this issue only with this game, other games are working just fine with all setings on high.

Have anyone of you had or heard of this issue and could help me get rid off it?

System specs: Intel Cuore 2 Quad 2,33 Mhz; 4GB RAM ; Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 - DDR3 896Mb(video memory) 448 Bit(memory interface) 650 Mhz (with overclock)

Try replacing "components" one by one: play the game from the same savegame on another PC; restart the game from the beginning on the same PC; reinstall the game on the same PC but keep the savegame; try another keyboard.

i tried to replace / reinstall driver of them one by one. didn't worked.
tried with saved games on 2 pc's. didn't worked either.
i still did not reinstal my Win. (which is 7 - 32bit.)
maybe downgrading to xp pro will do the trick !?!
i will give it a trie.

I think Windows 7 is useful enough and has been around for enough time so that, if GTA 4 wasn't compatible with it, an patch would've been released already.
