Nocd for a game from the nineties: Space clash
 

Hi guys, I'd like some help with a nocd for the italian version of space clash.
It seems like when installed, the start menu link executes sc.exe from the game dir and then this invokes clash.exe
No protections around, simple cd checks.

I included the 2 exes for further investigations.

Note: I already tried with the "copy all cdrom to hard drive trick".

Do you have files called Unclash.exe or Cd.ins?
Disc check is in sc.exe starting at 004011C0.
I have the same problem with a game before:
It searches for the disc and uses the path then for loading files from here.
And i dont know how to replace that path with the gamedir on hdd...

I haven't got cd.ins but one file is called CDSC.INS and if I open it with notepad, it contains only "E:\" (without quotes) that is my cdrom drive letter.
Here is unclash.exe (I think it's the uninstallation program)

Yes, thats the uninstaller, but there must be another exe somewhere.

A window popups with this message: "Para jugar a Space Clash debes ejecutar SC.EXE" and it quits. (note that I use SC.EXE to run the game).

Hmm what happens when you replace only sc.exe?

hello, maybe u can put english version of space clash ? clash.exe , sc.exe and space.exe files?

if cdsc.ins contains the drive letter change it to. \
then liik for strings in exe like %s\blah.exe
change to .\\blah.exe
then look for getdrivetype calls and kill them....
havent looked at the target tho

ijust wondering maybe do you know is it possible to change a language on this game? i got russian and spanish versions. i wanna have a english version of this games. thx :)

if the data is included im sure its possible....if its not, its still do-able...not impossible
