GRID 1.3 Question Windows XP sp3
 

Hello.
I recently updated to 1.3 version of GRID but i could not get the no-patch to work.

DOES anyone have the no-cd running on windows xp sp3??

I noticed that there are two files that need to be replaced . Grid.exe and rld.dll but i could not find where to put the rld.dll file?
That is most likely my problem.


rld.dll does not exist in the Windows XP SP3 Install of GRID.

I put rld.dll in the main folder and the game does not load with the NOCD patch anyways.

SO what i did was uninstall the game re-installed it went back to 1.2......
I really dont want to install 1.3 to test it again... unless i know someone else has it working in xp sp3.

Next question... Why is the GRID.exe 42 megabytes (when extracted) for Grice 1.2?
its not a huge download? why is it so large?

okay i figured nobody was gonna reply..

SO i patched the "new install" of the game to 1.3 myself...

then put the Reloaded 1.3 no cd patch in the directory and it worked like a charm.


It is well worth the update because 1.2 was a 45 meg file where as 1.3 is a 13 meg file.

Solved by myself we can close this sucker.
