Doesn't work. I got an errror that the game was not installed :confused::mad:
I've got the multi 2 (EN, FR) version of the game! |
Thats because he never paid attention to the error pointed out with his last conversion of DS2!!
#if SourcePath=ReadReg(HKLM,'SOFTWARE\EA Games\Dead Space 2','Install Dir',False) NEEDS to be HKCU for Win7, Its fine for XP. you could just edit the iss script file yourself and change the first line to #define SourcePath "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Dead Space 2\" --> Change it to where YOUR gamefolder is!! then delete next 2 lines. |
if like me you try to change the language and it fails, check this file:
C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\EA Games\Dead Space 2\settings.txt There is a 'Locale = ', mine was empty, I added 'fr' and it worked like a charm. |
Wrong german translation
Thanx for this nice conversion. After making the changes for the Sourcepath it worked 100%. It is now running under Win7 Extreme Draconis Edition SP1 x64.
Just a little note: The german translation in the file "Autorun_German.iss" is wrong. In line 5 it says Code:
de.Aexit=&AusgangCode:
de.Aexit=&BeendenCode:
DiskSpanning=no |
I think it's an automated translation. (The Hungarian one seemed like one because I've corrected it.)
