DVD9 to DVD5 Conversion

Step 1 > Create a temporary directory on your hard drive named "Sims3EP03".

Step 2 > Copy contents of DVD9 to that directory.

Step 3 > Open the "Support" directory, then go into "UpdatesMac" and delete all the files.

Step 4> Go back to the "Support" directory and open the "Updates" folder. Delete "TS3_1.17.60.009003_Update.exe" and "TS3_1.17.60.009005_Update.exe"

Step 5 > Burn files to a DVD5 with the label Sims3EP03.

Step 6 > Install game as normal. File size should be around 3.65 GB.

just like all the other SIMS stuff, delete the macupdate folder Then it fits on DVD5

Confirm... Work on xp sp2 after i installed fresh "sims 3" ...

If you want to keep the mac updates just make two isos: one with the Windows updates and the others with the Mac updates.

It's simple, just delete from the folder Updates and Mac Updates that updates version of the game that you did not have, for example, if you have the retail version multi16 eliminates all updates that end with ".003" on

Max' ONLY way i know to get on 2 dvd5's, make 2 ISO's

ISO#1 with deleting MAC stuff
ISO#2 with deleting PC stuff.

Only way I know of because of BOTH the PC / MAC files all-in-one on the dvd.

Max why do u need 2dvd5 when u can get one dvd5 ?

last 3 digits of update file indicate the REGION
001 us
002 europe - POLAND
003 asia - china/korea
005 japan
017 digital download version

leave only region you need, delete the rest

i delete Updatesmac folder, and the game size is only 1.61gb
