How do you make self boot games not self boot
How can i make .cdi format games that are self boot to not self boot, so i can use the boot disc. I need to do this so i can record games that are over 79:28, becuase my HP 8100 burner doesn't support more then 79:28. If i take out the boot sector i be able to save more space.

use cdmage to extract the cdi to each gxxe data file
make sure all game data file in dir c:\selfboot\data use other gxxe ip.bin instead as this gxxe ie. crazy taxy ip.bin move the bootbin & ip.bin file into dir c:\selfboot Run Binhack.exe ,input the name of the boobin, ip.bin then input 0 move the bootbin "1st_read.bin" back into dir c:\selfboot\data mkisofs -C 0,0 -V cdname -l -o data.iso data use cdrwin to burn the iso to ISO9660 mode1 that's all try it in your DC. |
hi vegeta...mmhh...I didn t understand very well...so you want to make not selfbootable copies of dc games from selfbootable type?
hmm....I must tell you that u must use some proggries to do it...so tell me first if your intention is that or not :) P.S. Vegeta credo che tu sia italiano vero? :) |
I need to do this because i want to copy the second this of grandai 2 but it 79:45 min long and my burner canonly burner up to 79:28 min. So if i take out the boot sector it would save time.

you dont need to make it non-selfbootable you have to find a prog for extract .cdi files (like isobuster for .BIN )

Ummm ..vegeta535
I'm pretty sure the HP8100 can burn 700meg (80min) CD's. Taking out the bootsector of the disk will save you about 1meg (give or take a few KB's). So there's no point. I think your getting confused somehow (you do know the game has to be burnt on a 700meg CD, not the regular 650 ones right?) However - the HP8100 has trouble burning those selfboot games (because the first track, which is part of the boot bit) because it's quite small. Find yourself a proggy called 'CDIRip' (which can be found on dccopyworld utils section). |
