XP/Vista/Win7

Hey fellas,

What's with the XP/Vista/Win7 notation next to some trainers on the site? I don't understand that as 'most' trainers should work under all those OS's. Most times when something doesn't work on say Vista or 7 it's down to the user (UAC, Non-admin user, security software etc). There's very little that can be so wrong that would mean that a trainer didn't work for one and not on another (from the coding point of view).

Can anyone clarify this? As it stands it makes those with that notation look much better than all of the others, when it's simply not necessary. For example, I know for a fact that all of my releases, and pretty much any other I can find (with a few exceptions) will work fine under 7. Some were coded under an older XP environment while some under more recent OS's. All of my pre-2007 trainers also work on 7 for instance.

Cheers.

I think Empire has neither the time to read NFO files nor especially to test compatibility himself so those indicators are probably general. But he'll tell us more later... ;)

Yeah, fair play to that man. I suppose it's only going on what is written in the release .NFO's and what-not. It's just that it's another point of confusion for the end user that's all.

Empire, please, append "(?)" or ".READ.NFO" to the "XP/Vista/Win7" strings. :p

dR.oLLe updated his trainer as the previous version did not work under Vista & Win7, now it does. So there is no special notation to the "XP/Vista/Win" text than that is was updated

Most nfo's are useless anyway as it come to information for which game version, language or release (exe) it actually is

Some trainers are tested but most are not and sometimes you have to guess things ;)

Ahh right. No worries.
