Skipping discs before boot
 

I have burned off the Utopia Boot disc 1.1 using CloneCD and have found that when I attempt to boot my DC up using the disc, it will sit there making skipping noises for about 30 seconds before it successfully boots up. I know its not the media as non bootable discs I record have no trouble reading.

I thought it might have something to do with "dummy files". I read somewhere that you need to buffer the end of the track so the DC laser can sync with it, but seeing as it's a tried and tested boot image I wouldn't have thought it was necessary.

Just to note, I have tried a mates identical boot cd and that is fine. Some one please help!

for some reason, this is common with cds copied by clonecd
