BioShock 2 DVD9 to 2xdvd5

1. Create 2 folders DISK1 & DISK2

2. Copy all the contents of the DISK1 folder

3. Copy the following files to DISK2 folder

Code:

Support
autorun.inf

4. Move the following file to the DISK2 folder

Code:

data3.cab

5. Edit autorun.inf in DISK2

Code:

[autorun
open=0
icon=Support\AutoRun\AutoRun.exe,0
label=BioShock 2

Burn or make isos with same label names of temp folders

DVD1 4,35 GB
DVD2 3,41 GB

Work 100%... Thanks senseman

he just copies others work as his own... ORIGINAL AUTHOR --> ange30

step #5 should be

IF you want autorun working (just shows icon when dvd inserted to dvd drive in windows explorer)
copy support/autorun folder & autorun.inf to folder 2

You can add crack to DVD2 as well ---> get from GCW to play without dvd in drive.

I'm sure i've noticed some mistakes in this/lack of clarity, especially with regards to steps 3 and 4. Moving all files except Data 1 & 2 will move critical setup files that will cause it to fail if installing from Disc 1. This should surely be:

Publisher: 2K Games
Developer: 2K Games
Release Date: Feb 9, 2010
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

BIOSHOCK 2 (DVD9 to 2x DVD5)

1) Create a 'Folder 1' and a 'Folder 2'
2) Copy all disc contents to 'Folder 1'
3) Move 'Data3.cab' and copy 'autorun.inf' to 'Folder 2'
4) Copy 'Support' folder to 'Folder 2'
5) *optional* You may wish to move any Crack folder to Disc 2 as well if you it, to save sticking Disc 1 back in after the install.

Edit the 'autorun.inf' in 'Folder 2' to show:

Code:

[autorun]
icon=Support\AutoRun\AutoRun.exe,0
label=BioShock 2

5) Burn the contents of 'Folder 1' to a DVD. This is disc 1.
6) Burn the contents of 'Folder 2' to a DVD. This is disc 2.

Install from disc 1, and the setup will prompt you for disc 2 (for the location of Data3.cab), at which point you insert that to finish the setup.

ALTERNATIVELY!

Instead of moving the entire 'Support' folder (300MB+) just for the sake of getting a working icon, place the following icon file (attached) into the root of Disc 2, delete the 'Support' folder and edit the 'autorun.inf' to show:

Code:

[autorun]
icon=bioshock.exe
label=BioShock 2

The contents of Disc 2 should now just be lean and mean, with:

Quote:

autorun.inf
data3.cab
bioshock2.ico
:)

I would suggest senseman, that if these guides are not your own, then to give proper credits. I'm sure the original author wouldn't mind that they are spread so long as that short bit of info is given. It also makes me look like a tit as well if I make suggestions/alterations when it's not actually yours.

Cheers.

Thanks Senseman and Psych for your directions! Worked great. Just a note that the labels can be anything..I was not sure at first if it needed to be a specific name, but when asked for disk 2, it prompts you to point to directory so any name works.
