Ashes Cricket 09 not working with latest daemon tools pro!

The game uses securom protection game release date is 7th Aug and I am using 6th aug daemon tools version(which is latest to date) but it is giving me WROND DISC INSERTED I also tried using latest YASU but when cloaking its saying that there is no need of it securom already cloaked something like that.
Is that game using latest securom protection unsupported by latest daemon tools? Is there any way to play the game using the backup?

wrong disk inserted can happen if you have
1. the wrong disk inserted
2. any other securom image mounted in the drive which has a drive letter BEFORE another one which contains the right image
3. if the exe you're running is 'meant' for another image (ie: you have mismatched the exe and the image)

I tried disabling the 2nd SCSI Drive and mount the iso in IDE drive (which is my only virtual drive) and its still not working. What should I do?

.ISO files hold no protection. So you will have to make a slow read image in another format, like Alcohol 120%, and others including Daemon Tools Pro (paid for version).

do you get the same problem puting in the original, having no images mounted, and using the original exe?

I didnt get that and I am using Daemon tools pro 4.35 ,should I try Alcohal 120%?

And yea its working fine using the original one.

Edit : Tried changing the extension from ISO to MDS but still same error.

>.<

Its simple...

.iso files do not contain the extra information of protection schemes from the media.

You will have to use other software like DTP or Alcohol 120% and any others that will make a true copy of the media or try to. And when making the image you set the read speed very low so its a better quality image.

Just changing .iso to .mds doesnt work.... why you came up with that idea I have no idea.

Can some one upload Ashes cricket 09 mdf/mds mini image that can actually work?

TippeX 25-09-2009 12:56

mdf would only (at best) be allowed, an mds would be the image, containing the data, and thus would not be allowed here...

like i said...

does this happen when you use the original disk and the original exe?

DABhand 25-09-2009 15:44

Even im trying to run Ashes 2009 with Daemon tools + YASU latest but its giving wrong disk
error.

Ashes 2009 uses SecuROM 7.40.xxxx protection which Blacklisted both Daemon tools and YASU latest.

I think we have to wait till DT or YASU release a new version that not blacklisted by SecuROM 7.40.xxxx

so is there any other way we can run Ashes 2009 without cd?

fine, then answer my initial question...

does it work when you use the original exe and original disk? .. simple yes or no, because if it doesn't then there's deeper things we need to check

Extremed 26-09-2009 08:05

im sure answer will be YES. it does work with original cd for me

TippeX 26-09-2009 12:08

then it should work for him too, in which case he's probably best off using the original until a crack etc appears, however he could also be using the warez version... and.. well....
