GhostBusters The Video Game (1 Language DVD9 to 1xDVD5) FREEARC+IS Loader

1) Make temp folder

'temp\setup\Ghostbusters'

2) Copy from DVD9:

'autorunData' folder

'Autorun.exe'
'AUTORUN.INF'
'ghost.ico'

files to 'temp\' folder

all contents of 'setup' folder except 'bin' folder to 'temp\setup\Ghostbusters\'

3) Extract and overwrite 'Ghostbusters_1xDVD5.7z' contents to 'temp' folder

4) Install the game,start FREEARC browse game's folder & select all *.pod files except (for english conversion):

W32DESND.POD (german sounds)
W32ESSND.POD (spanish sounds)
W32ITSND.POD (italian sounds)
W32FRSND.POD (french sounds)

Output archive: GB_arc.exe
Compression: Maximum (192mb decompression)
Make exe: Windows GUI: freearc.sfx

5) Move GB_arc.exe to 'temp\setup'

6) Extract 'recompress.7z' contents to 'temp\setup\Ghostbusters\' & launch recompress.bat

7) Burn or make iso from 'temp' folder with label 'GHOSTBUSTERS'

DVD size 4.27 gb

which msi did you used?

the disk prompt is 'GHOSTBUSTERS DVD' not '1', no request of change disk is required

Extract edited msi from archive Ghostbusters_1xDVD5.7z & overwrite the original.

DISK label 'GHOSTBUSTERS'

Create iso & test installation from virtual drive

setup\GB.exe | 2656461927 the name must be 'GB_arc.exe' not 'GB.exe'
setup\Ghostbusters\data.cab | 2147481600 u must repack this file with recompress.bat step 6, after repack the size is 1.899.818.568

use Windows Installer Clean Up

and repeat the installation

For Me....It's Very Easy.....!!!:D:D

the error means:

_setup.dll file located in the same location as the setup.exe being run cannot be copied to the temp folder,because the setup doesn't have permissions to read the file.

the issue is related to your system

do you have administrator privileges ?

Maybe the reason is this

Set TEMP=Drive:\folder
or
Set TMP=Drive:\folder

look your OS Environment variables

try to set both variables

dont close the dos shell after set command & then type recompress.bat

Thank's for the real big work, but FREEARC make corupted files, i maked this conversion follow your explanation for "french language only",
(delete english W32ENSND.POD and keep W32FRSND.POD)
Modified setup.ini for only one language,
[Languages]
Default=0x040c
count=1

Installer run like a charm XP SP3 and vista 64 premium. on XP, french sound are just ok, BUT on vista 64, many french sounds will totaly disapear, by replacing manualy, the french W32FRSND.POD with an original not rumpacked, the french sounds run perfekt on VISTA, by original installer dvd9 sounds already are ok on vista only repacked with freearc the sound files doesn't proper work on VISTA 64, finaly i make a splitted backup on two DvD's is properer.

I maked your conversion 2 mal's one on xp and one on vista result's are the same, i repacked the POD files with sfx winrar module, the file is real bigger but output is not corupted on vista. sorry bad english i know but just you need to know freearc is unproper for vista 64.


FRENCH poeple, before you play go to OPTION's and shutdown "english sound in game" now is it french.

For poeple having problems by uninstall, remove or delete manualy, the cracked.exe before uninstall, after, is not a problem just WAIT need many time nothing more.

Conversion works great! The whole thing (FreeArc , recompress etc.) took me approx. 2-2,5 hours:)
