TY Blank CD-R...Identifying #'s ???
hello...
I use Taiyo Yuden blank CD-Rs at my mastering studio for both red book cda & referrence cdr's, for my clients. On Taiyo Yudens...which number on the disk identifies it as an official TY...the # on front hub or the one on the edge of the back hub ??? [The # on the front hub is HL842C1011380 The # on the edge of the back hub is 80 PG7631] I want to be able to tell my clients that I use Taiyo Yuden _ _ _ _ _ _'s; & am not sure which # to use. Thanks, mark4man MoonMix Studios |
The 80 PG7631, is the size and type of TY media.
The inner-ring is probably a manufacture serial like which line, how many was made to the point etc, batch number and so forth. But those are real TY's, the color should be like a goldy colour yes? EDIT: Also if the case has the references B and >pp< thats another good sign :) |
thanks, DABhand...
I'll go w/ the PG #, then. Quote:
You're scarin' me w/ this gold business. mf |
I was talking about the top surface of the disc. Not the written surface.
Look on the top of the plastic case, thats where you should be able to see the B and >pp< But the PG# is correct. Any time I have had the PG7631 in my shop they have been gold top for me. |
sorry...
I get the white inkjet printable top surface, so I can print disc info for my audio clients. thanks, mf |
