Nope, wrong. There is Czech version and Russian version (with English language as installation option available) and they have NO online activation and they DO require for disc to be in drive while playing. There is a thread about this already, most people are misinformed and are under wrong impression that all MassEffect distributions are with online activation..

Also Mass Effect can be played with disk (the SecuROM one with activation), you just have to know how (no crack etc.) ;)

Russian Mass Effect has StarForce, just use FStarForce and then mount the image.

Should work with the czech and polish in the best case scenario. Anyway, for people who own the original, a piece of good news is that Bioware is working on a new patch. It is still unknown if it has deauthorizing toolss and an extension to how many times you can install the game. Also it's still unknown what the new patch will fix.
In an interview at NY ComicCon, Jay Watamaniuk from Bioware seems to have given out the fact that a new DLC is in works, also, though when he realised, he quickly changed the subject.
So we will have a new(confirmed) patch(see the official forums) and a rumour about a new DLC.

BTW: i got a serial for the DLC installer (googled it) but the installer failes after it try to verify the games authencity...

and, i remeber that last year i found a crack for the 1.01a patch, in some torrent site, unfortuantly i forgot it's name...

Yeah, I think the russian crack worked

I tried to download the crack that Yizahi recommended, but i can't manage to register to the forums, i can't pass the freaking test.

Anyway, i'm not sure that the crack can do anything about the online check of BDtS's installer.
