DVD Game broken... Do I have to pay?
 

Hello everyone, I'm kinda new in this forum =)

I just want to know what can I do If my DVD is broken.
I bought Battlefield 2 with all Addons in it + SF 1 year ago, it costed me 50 euros... Just 3 weeks ago, a "friend" of mine broke my DVD (I won't explain why or how... drunk stuff). It wasn't the only DVD he broke...

Luckely the game is still installed, and I still got the CD-Key.

Anyways... I just want to know If a have to call any service or something...
Do I have to pay something?
This thing never happened to me befor. By the way, I can't find Battlefield 2 anywyere.
I'm not the kind of guy that throws money trough the windows... 50 euro is something...

PS : Just a reminder, I'm not speaking of any warez or stuff like that since it's not allowed here... of course...

You have to contact EA (visit ea.com for contact) and send them proof of purchase.
Explain what happens and they may send you a new CD/DVD copy.
You may have to pay a fee.

Other solution (if the above doesn't work) is contact your lawyer and sue EA :)

Well, ask your "buddy" for paying the replacements?

For the proof of purchase... that'll be hard :( since I don't have it anymore...
Bah... in the futur i'll keep mah proofs...

Try play.com. The brits have free delivery in France, from what I recall.

Edit : I almost forgot I had another BF2 Dvd, but it's not the complete edition... I should try it first...
I guess it won't work for Special Forces... neither Armored Fury + Euro =(

Proof of purchase can be (a photo of) the original box and/or manual and/or the broken CD/DVD and/or the bill you got in the shop. However, EA user support is not very helpful, it may be cheaper to buy a second hand copy on Ebay instead... :(

in play.com, choose the euro sign and then search for bf, if it says free delivery, then it´s free delivery as you chose euro sign which to them implies you live in europe but outside of uk.
