I love you ...

... yes, you !

I found this forum by accident, of course via google - what else ?

Being member of different forums, I really enjoy my hobby: Computer hardware and PC games.

I was searching for a No-CD-patch today for my original copy of Splinter Cell Double Agent, but not very successful.
GameCopyWorld has one, but it doesn't work for me :(

Although I have used for almost all my original games a No-CD-Patch successfully :), you just have to be careful regarding Trojans and stuff.
I use to, everytime after downloading, upload the file to VirusTotal.com to check whether it's clean or not.
Quite often the results are shocking because the crack / patch is full of spyware !!

I wonder why some No-CD-Patches are only a few Kilobytes and others several Megabytes large ??

Why can't there be a simple method to install a game once and store the original DVD in a safe place ?
Why making life harder than needed ?
If everybody were honest, we wouldn't need all this security vomit. And we wouldn't need to lock our doors and no alarm system and no prisons.
Are you aware of how much money our society would save dude ?

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm pleased to find people on the same wavelength here because I too hate the pathetic, intrusive ways some companies are trying to catch you, trying to use you as a cow to milk off as much money as possible.

I hate those digital downloads where you don't have a proper backup like the original DVD ... especially "Steam".

Sooo, since we have something in common ... are we friends now ? ;)

Most cracks are loaders hence the small size, others are unpacked pure executables of the game after protection removal and repacked, usually repacked with a form a wrapper that gives false positives with various AV's.
