Left 4 DEAD (STEAM) Problems
 

Hi peeps ive been playing this since the 18th @ 6.30am lol & ive found that im being kicked often, Is anyone else getting this error cos its happened more than a few times..

I will be in a game & " You have been kicked from the game " You need to be logged into Steam to play this game..? :mad:

Is there options in Steam for inactivity time? Perhaps it logs you out of steam after a set time?

And remember this section is for game backup questions etc. :)

Oops got the wrong section as I was looking for help...Im always playing, Using the keyboard & mouse..Steam sits in the background until you quit out your game..Its happened to me approx 8 times during the 38h ive logged playing the game..

Hmm if no options in steam, perhaps you have a router that thinks Steam is hitting a port that much it decides to class it as a DNS attack and block it for a while?

Never thought of that..Is there anyway to check that as it does sound plausible..Ive been inside the settings page & checked the Logs & theres nothing there at all about Steam..

I dont think you get kicked for blocked ports, you would just get a client-side disconnect message.
Either you play that crappy people keep kicking you or maybe it's got something to do with your ping. Not sure about server-side ping limits, might be the cause...

The matchmaking sucks bigtime, keeps putting me into Russian or Californation servers, I'm glad if my ping goes yellow :|

Yeah for me its French servers lol...Although my ping stays below 90ms...some days it dont happen at all & others its all the time..Telling me I have to LOG into steam to be able to play..:(
