DISK 1：

1. Copy all folders and files except the data Folder from original DVD;
2. Creat "data" folder, copy files and folder listed below from "data" folder of original DVD to the new "data" folder:

To correct an error : 03-03-2007

DISK 2 need add "data\Jade Empire Uninstaller.exe", DISK 1 neednt this file

the DVD-9 size is 6.4G, italian and spanish files are 100M.

may be edit "installmanifest_en.ini "files in data folder.
Change Disk 2 ,

in fact, i edit installmanifest_en.ini like this, (aslo i edit installmanifest_es.ini and installmanifest_it.ini too)

then sound01_en.rar---sound30_en.rar can be put in DISK 1 all ,(DISK 1 3.68G)
Aslo you can edit "autorun.xml" files in data folder to delete selection of other language in install, and delete italian.rar and spanish.rar in data folder of DISK 2.

For disc 2 you want to edit the autorun.inf file like this:

[autorun]
OPEN=0
ICON=dataJadePC.ico

Editing the autorun.inf file as above will stop the Windows Explorer window from opening when inserting Disk 2.
By also including the Icon file, on Disc 2, as well as including the autorun.inf file, will give your DVD an icon in Windows Explorer when the DVD is inserted.

Huge bump: Is someone ever going to actually post proper instructions on how to convert this because as it is right now, it makes no sense.

you want 3 languages on 2 dvd5's, follow first post put files in dirs like it says. just read thru other posts for corrections or additions.

Because it doesn't work. And you can't tell which correction is actually correcting anything. I tried every possible combination and it still doesn't ask for Disk 2. Installation just aborts.

did you check the installmanifest files & see what the actual disk labels are supposed to be ?
verify you have them correct.

Never mind. I got it. Someone should still make a proper instruction. This is a mess.

back in the day I got it in a dvd5 by re-encoding all the .biks. Good memories :)

Seeing as you worked it out, you can now re-write the conversion using 'your proper instructions'. ;)
