The witcher registering 1.4 patch problem - using unregpatch.exe
 

I need technical help,please

I downloaded TWEE_upgrade_unreg.exe from GCW and tried to patch witcher patch 1.4, but i got this error:

TWEE_Upgrade-Unregistered.tmp
0x00000002 (2)
The system cannot find the specified file.

I have both witceh patch 1.4 and TWEE_upgrade_unreg.exe in one directory.

My Witcher is in Czech language, my WinXP are in czech language too(maybe problem comes from here? i dont know).

For forum admins: I am a legal owner of the copy of game. I just havent IC at home where i installed my lovely witcher.

I made it work by making a copy of twee_upgrade.exe and naming it:

twee_upgrade-unregistered.tme

notice it is not tmp!!!

when you run the patch, while it is making its own copy, you change the filename extension to tmp

so it is now:

twee_upgrade-unregistered.tmp

when the file finishes copying, it should use this file and patch it correctly....

I have the same issues has Sirmic.

I tried doing what clock.face suggested and it still cannot find the file.

I wish I had an IC at home, but I do not and it is really frustrating trying to get this to work properly.

Anyone else have this problem and figure out how to patch it successfully?
