Call of Juarez SecuROM crack for StarForce version?
 

Hey, everyone, I am back with another question(yay).

I have been setting my eye on a no-dvd exe fix for Call of Juarez,
but it seems that GCW only has a Securom version, am I correct?
My COJ is European, I think, with StarForce(Damn, I hate them),
protection.
If I download the nodvd exe fix, will it work on my version too?

StarForce is so damn stubborn, I bought the game, I am a legal owner,
but it keeps telling me that I have a wrong disc inserted, please could
anyone provide advise for my crack predicament?

it may work, but if starforce used the virtual file system then you may not have all the files present from your installation...

really though, its a question you could have answered yourself.. also if you have a starforce problem with the disk then contacting them might be an idea...

just backup the files in the installation folder that will be in the crack download (typically this will be just 1 exe, but best check).. then copy the crack in and see if it works.. if it does, then all is good, if not, then you're probably missing files and out of luck (asking for original files here will result in a ban, so do not do it)..

Guess I'll try it, I just hate doing something for nothing.

Its not doing nothing if your asking for SF peeps to give you a better executable that will work with your machine, they have been known to help out that way.


You know its kind of weird, that these days people wont do anything for friends and even family for free, what is the world coming to :P (yes I know it was OT but I had to say it :P)

Anyway, I meant not everyone is uncapped. I do not like waste bandwidth.

I've have CoJ from the UK and the download provided on GCW was fine. Installed game, patched to V1.1.0.0 then to V1.1.1.0, replaced files and job done.

Shame it's such a painful game to play :(

No, I just checked the DVD with Protection ID and it reported "[!] SecuROM Detected - Version 07.26.0005"
