Thanks a lot ravd for the conversion.
But I changed some things, look, I dont understand why you changed
LowSpe~1|LowSpec.pak to sequence 3 if this file keeps on Disk1, making instalation dvd1-dvd2-dvd1.
So what I did is keep:

-----------------------------------------
FileName Sequence
-----------------------------------------
LowSpe~1|LowSpec.pak 1

and removed diskid "3"
----------------------------------------------------------
DiskId | LastSequence | DiskPrompt | Cabinet | VolumeLabel
----------------------------------------------------------

3 3 1 CrysisWarhead_1

I keep all the folders in Disk2 too, except \data... with only the 4 .pak needed files.
Rest is all the same.
Doing this, instalation is DVD1-DVD2 finish.
It worked fine here.

in this message he doesn't loaded the DVD/ISO in the drive.
2nd message is in english: "runtime error in setup script: line 1675"

Thats because DeividPaz used multi10 msi in multi2 version

i probably find solution for this error ....
in autorun.ini
there is a line
"label=CrysisWARHEAD(R)" or something like this .....
so my disk 1 label was Crysiswarhead_1 but when mount ISO for testing installation i saw Crysis WARHEAD(R) in my virtual drive and error occur
so i try to remove from both dvd string "label=CrysisWARHEAD(R)" from Autorun.ini and now
no error .....
sequence dvd1 dvd2 dvd1
bye

CiroConsentino 25-09-2008 11:45

it worked now... I disabled the AVG Anti-Virus.

gentilu 27-09-2008 00:39

Thanks ravd, works!!

Yes ai make iso, and i instaled. Working very good. Dvd 1-Dvd 2-Dvd 1.

ravd 27-09-2008 01:39

Could every one who confirms that its working/not working say did they make isos or burned to dvd-r

EDIT: I burned using File System: UDF if that makes any difference, all works fine and installs, i only tested isos when i wrote that conversion.

I Didn't do anything to label in autorun.inf

@Tarros Most likely your burned backups are working

Might be somekind conflict with InstallAware and some programs, like there is mentioned in this forum (ipoint.exe, avg anti-virus etc)

tarros 27-09-2008 15:29

@ravd probably you're right ...i 'm take for me last copy and use it ...
only problem with installation sequence when ask for dvd 1 after dvd 2 dvd 1 dvd2 and so on ...but isn't a problem at all
thanks for all support
bye man

Personally can't test these MSI errors since it rarely shows up nowadays. o_O
This is intended for XP SP3.

Ideas for burned media:
(1)
When the 'switch cd' prompt comes up, wait for the disc to spin down. Light goes off. Wait a few seconds.

Open explorer. Use the right-click + eject on that drive. Put in new disc. Give it a few seconds. Hit go.

(2)
If you have two drives, then put CD1 into drive1 (drive with lowest letter). Put the rest of CD* into drive2.

Ideas for virtual media:
(1)
Daemon tools can give silent 'corrupted' media states at random sectors. Pretty rare but it happens to me.
Try another software like 'Virtual CloneDrive' when those problems occur.

(2)
Explorer.exe or Anti-virus or Firewall can lock some files on the CD drives. And viciously holds on to them well after they aren't needed.

Get 'unlocker assistant' and 'Right-click + Unlocker' on the CD drive. Select everything that shows up and 'Unlock all'. That saved me a few times, especially when copying/renaming/deleting 16-bit DOS executables.

mondragon 28-09-2008 12:25

tested now with "orginal" msi, autorun on, label in autorun.ini label=CrysisWARHEAD(R)
http://images44.fotosik.pl/15/f669262decbc7eaem.jpg

media, property, file correct - with my conversion correct

edit
ok fix
remove from both autorun.inf line label
leave only for dvd1
Code:

[autorun]
open=AutoRunCD.exe
icon=Warhead.ico, 0

dvd2
Code:

[autorun]
open=0
icon=Warhead.ico, 0

now it works
i erase label in when i testing m2 version but not tested with autorun on and not add to conversion

edit2
dont try to edit label to volumelabel :) tested, only works for dvd1 , when swap to dvd2 error and bye bye installing game

edit3
im add autorun.inf without label in the mine conversion on beginning [not need to edit it]

Do you have: 'SysInternals ProcessMonitor'?

You'll have to right-click the process names and 'Exclude *.exe' to remove the unwanted processes (ex. 'explorer.exe', 'firefox.exe').

Start the MSI and watch what gets activated. Anti-virus is a certified MSI bugger - you may need it off.

If the message box pops up, then click the 'magnifying icon' (open / save / magnifier) to stop logging. Work backwards through the log and maybe you'll get lucky on why it's happening.
