Worried my DC doesnt support burned games
 

I bought a DC (NTSC-U of course) on ebay. So I got it today and unfortunately the seller gave me the wrong AV cables so I'm waiting for him to get back to me on that.

Just to test it out i tried loading a burned game i made earlier anyway to see if it works. For a fact I know the dreamcast laser would move back and forth very loudly. It seems though i can hear the laser move once then the disc just spins (no reading). It could be I burned a coaster, IDK (I used CD-R music). But I am going to my friends house later today to test it (he has a DC and burned games).

If it in fact cannot play burned games, is there a work around? Thanks.

PS. My DC was made in Dec 2000 and has the number 2 on it. My friends was made in Oct 2000 and it also has a 2 on it and it can play burned games fine, so I don't think that's an issue.

Play originals then?
