There has to be SOME WAY to make 100% perfect PS1 disk backups!!
There has to be some way by now to make 100% accurate PS1 game backups, I mean with the "blind write" area and all. Are there any special CD-R disks out there with this part stamped in already and then a regular ISO image can be made and burned? Is there ANY other way? Come on, it's been like 10 years since this thing came out, there has got to be some way to simply back-up games 100%. I believe that this is the only solution if I want to play them on the PS3, which has the new drive mechanism and updates itself to prevent any moding. Any help would be appreciated!

You cant, unless you have a factory sized duplicator which duplicates discs from a master pressed disk, which will costs alot of money.

Hey how about moding a burner to create the correct checksum values on the disk. Does anyone have any idea how I could mod a burner to do that??

You cant do it. And no public media has the outer ring capabilities. Or a drive for the PC that can do it anyway.

Wow that sucks. Curse sony!!! I even went as far as to research pressing my own disks- and then I realized that that was a dumb idea. I still cant believe that in the world today it is not possible to replicate pits on a piece of plastic! And one layer at that.
