Where is the Raven Shield CD path?
 

I just dug up and installed Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield and wish to use my own CD image instead of the disc. Did anyone ever find where it stored which CD drive the game was installed from? No INI files have it, and unless it's encrypted along with the CD key, the registry doesn't have it either.

then you need to remove the protection dont you...
the protection checks the disk for a signature, if its not present, it won't continue until either the disk becomes present, or you click cancel and it exits...

so the only way you can use your 'own' cd image is to use the cracked executable, or use a mini / maxi image...

protections generally don't store the cd drive letter in the registry.. its not that simple...

I am guessing he already has the game installed from the original disc?
If so then I am also guessing he wants to play the game from a mounted image?
If that is the case Iori Branford then just mount your 'own image' in a Daemon Tools or a Alcohol 120 virtual drive.
The game wont care what Drive you installed it from as long as the game can see a disc (mounted image) in place it will start. ;)
