Some interesting news regarding safedisc, activemark and activestore
Valued Trymedia customers,
On April 1, 2008 RealNetworks, Inc. acquired the following Trymedia products from Macrovision: * ActiveMARK * ActiveSTORE * SafeDisc We are in the process of developing a new website to meet your product and service needs. Please bear with us while we are under construction. In the meantime, you can gain access to online tools and information with the links below. If you have any problems, please contact your sales or support representative so they may assist you. Sincerely, The Trymedia Team http://gamedevs.realarcade.com/GameS..._id=rightPromo |
They got tired of the one-click generic unpackers it seems... so they moved to a 'professional' protection... little do they know what awaits them :P (safecast and activemark both have one click generic unpackers floating around on teh internetz...)

yeh but means macrovision dont own safedisc etc anymore.. weird development
|
Really? From what I understand, all they did was buy the rights to use the actual software, and not the rights to the entire software (dev rights, source code & all...).
|
And also Real Networks is disgusting too. Let's see whats happen now
They are supposed to be contrapart with Real One playe vs Windows Media but they act the same way like Microsoft |
Yeah, Realplayer pours garbage all over the system: files, registry entries, associations. I HATE IT! (I didn't let it get near my PC's for years although I couldn't persuade my father into using VLC or Mplayer instead.) Let's see what the same company can do with another software...
