NOCD for NFS:U2 v1.2 German?
 

Hello Guys.

Currently, i have a problem with my nfsu2.

I buyed this nice game yesterday, just to find out that my widescreen monitor
with its native resolution (1680x1050) is not supported.

I found the nice tool UniWS, but it requires a crack in order to active the widescreen resolution.

So, i tried finding a v1.2 german crack, but i couldn't find one so far.

I tried the english one too (with renaming the video files), but it keeps hanging on the loading screen.

Would someone be able to make a crack for the german v1.2?
Or is something similar floating around in the net?

I hope you can help me.

P.S.: I currently playin again with version 1.0 but it stutters with my 8800gts oO" Thats why i need the 1.2

You could always use the mini-image mounted in daemon tools :)

Did your try the French or Russian 1.2 cracks out of interest?

I need the crack for the resolution hack to play the game with 16:10 (1680x1050)

Well, just tried the french crack with renaming the vid files from *_gr.vü6 to *_fr.vp6

Seems to work well so far. But i just tested it a bit so i dont know yet if there is a loading bug or not.

A crack for what?

A mini-image is just as good as a crack for the game.

But if you mean a crack for the application to use it, then your in the wrong place.

Perhaps, the resolution hack is a patch that works on the cracked executable only. (Just a guess.)

I looked at the app, and it doesnt need registration or a crack to use, so he must be talking about the game. And the mini-image im sure will work as the app is only sending data to the game/modifying config files.

So the mini-image should work easily.

And if not he can still use his original.

Thats right. The only known way to get 1680x1050 to work is with a program called UniWS.

It changes the resolution-value directly in the speed2.exe.
Because of this, its only possible with a cracked speed2.exe.

So (if i want to play in 1680x1050, that is) i cannot use my original disc or a mini image.

I hope that you guys now understand what i mean ^^

If thats the case there is a possibility that the german executable wont work anyway, if it was designed for say english.

Still I dont see the reason on why a cracked exe needed, but hey hum.
