Definitive Dungeon Keeper 2 FIX

Hey all.

Followed a link from gamecopyworld, and I figured this could do with a DK2 Fix.

For the fix, visit this URL:

Enjoy, and please do leave comments.

What is this: an unofficial fix for the game, a no-CD patch, both?

old game, i have it running in xp no problems, was safedisc if i remember right, with no extra/custom checks... gr8 game, sad to see dk3 never made an appearance...

I never had any issues to run it on xp

Yeah I remember when it took 5 years for this game to come out. We never thought another game would take as long.

Enter Duke Nukem: Forever (which may be released this year)

But I think the developers wanted to do DK3, but publisher who bought the rights to the game said no. Similar thing happened with Relic for homeworld 3, I dont think that will ever be made either.

sucks, cos dk2 was really fun to play, add in a little bit better gfx, keep the gameplay/humor, add in network/lan/inet play and you're onto a sure fire winner....

Long story short; after EA bought Bullfrog, they've wanted to make a DK3. Only a few people worked for a few months(like 4-5 persons). They wanted to bring the combat at the surface and add RTS elements AOE like. Also adding the possibility to play with the good guys. In the end, EA decided to can that sequel.

They also decided to discontinue hosting the various files needed for the game.. patches and the like.

Fortunately, we still have a strong fan community going. It's just that this forum comes up when you search for DK2 on gamecopyworld, so I figured I'd re-direct it here as well, to help out more people.
Thread has had over 18000 views or something so far, the page I made for it had reached 9000 before I decided to make it into a thread instead.

Just tryin' to help out. :o
