Trainer Question

What do the plus numbers (+1 +2 +3 +4 +5) mean in the name of a trainer file? Sorry if the question has been asked, but I could not find it elsewhere in this forum. Thanks! Mac

They mean how many options, training features the trainer contains.

So would you recommend downloading the trainer with the highest number? If not obvious, I have never used a trainer before! That doesn't mean I haven't ever cheated though... :D

I recommend downloading them all and seeing which one of them covers your needs the best. There can be a "mega trainer" with lots of features none of which work correctly; in such a case you might want to use the correctly working trainer with less features. There can be trainers who have quite different features: one about health-lives, another about game time, yet another about powerups (when talking about a classic shooter game).
