dvdreader broken, running a dvd
 

anyone know how to work a dvdgame with a dvdreader broken?

better..

my notebook dvd reader work 1 time on 100.. so in this 1 opportunity i could copy the dvd on my c: ...but

wich is the file format i've to create on the c:
wich kind of file - no dvd i've to find to make the game play without dvd

the game is Call of duty 4 ORIGINAL (bought into a Mediaworld for 50€)
i've installed it with my PERSONAL CD Keys, and played it for 5 times so system requirement are ok, ewerything is regular

the mediaworld says that the dvd is ok it run on other pc
the Computer Discount says that my guarranty is expired
only my dvdreader doesn't work! the laser is f....!!

Not really an answer, but you could also try to clean the laser head yourself to see if this solves the problem (do not use alcohol as this leaves a "film" on the lens itself)

If this does not help you could replace the DVD-ROM for a working one (new or 2nd hand from eBay)
