I think it's one of the packages you can download from here: http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_ppf.shtml. (Found by searching for "ppfdiz" at Google.)

Garion 13-12-2007 16:29

Hmm ive tried that but i cant find it. does anyone know were specifically the ppfdiz.exe is.

Joe Forster/STA 13-12-2007 16:41

Aren't you talking about "PPF-DizFo 1.0" at the URL I found?!

Garion 13-12-2007 17:45

In the guide im using "idiots guide for ntsc to pal ppf" it says the ppfdiz.exe file.

Joe Forster/STA 14-12-2007 08:36

... from which quide it becomes apparent that this ppfdiz software is not required to create working PPF-format patches...

Garion 14-12-2007 15:24

Yes it is required. The website for the guide is http://www.megagames.com/psx/idiots_...2p/idiot.shtml

Without the ppfdiz.exe file i cant complete the process

Joe Forster/STA 14-12-2007 15:33

Yes, I have also read the guide. Do you understand the purpose of ppfdiz? Have you tried completing the guide without the steps about ppfdiz; did you find out that the resulting PPF patch is working even without using ppfdiz at all?

Garion 14-12-2007 15:35

so just try doing the whole thing and leaving out the step with that file?

Joe Forster/STA 14-12-2007 16:05

<sigh> Yes...

Garion 23-12-2007 04:38

I tried that and i ended up with a ntsc copy. so what now? i either need that file or to try something else.

Joe Forster/STA 23-12-2007 05:22

It is Pal4U and P4UPATCH that do the NTSC->PAL actual patching. For the Nth time, ppfdiz has nothing to do with this, it's only an optional miscellaneous utility. If you didn't manage to do the conversion, you missed something (but not ppfdiz) so read the guide and the software documentations again a few times.

Closed, this thread is obviously not going anywhere...
