Where is the fix for 1.2 to co-inide with the 1.2 patch that was released, the 1.2 fix is needed to correct the savegames/profile issuses people are having.

No group ever release a 1.2 patch crack.
use the 1.1 crack

The 1.1 crack may not contain the fixes in the 1.2 patch, if those fixes are coded into the EXE. Using an older crack with a newer patch could also lead to stability/crashes with the game.

There are still a lot of patches uncracked from years ago, no group cracks 'everything' unfortunately.

Well... I patched to 1.2 and the apply the 1.1 noCD and the savegames works fine. After all the patch 1.2 was done to avoid the savegame problem.

If the fixes are contained in 'data' files you may get lucky, but most fixes are usually in the new EXE file, so you gain no benefit using an older EXE.

I know that BarryB, but since there's no mini/maxi-image we have to either use the DVD or hope crack 1.1 works with the lastest patch (which in my case works).

EDIT: 1.2 has been out since July wow didnt seem that long ago the patch was released :P

This doesnt make sense.

1.2 changes the game executable to fix the savegame issue, and you overwrite using the old 1.1 so the new fixes are gone again as its using the old 1.1 executable to play the game.

DABhand, sound strange, but works for me.
When I do it I get the same feeling - it won't work -, but it works.
I made the changes to the options, save a profile, exit the game, enter again into the game and it says save file was OK. Run some races and save the profile with no problems.
And am still playing the game.
