Nero Plugin to burn mdf/mds images

Hello,
I have Nero 7 and i'm trying to burn a mdf/mds CD image. The version of nero i'm running (nero 7) does not nativly support this. Is there a plugin or something that i can download for nero that will allow me to do this?

Right now i'm just mounting the image and doing a CD copy and it works fine, just curious if i can skip that step.

Thanks

You can burn the mds/mdf image with the tool you created it with.
Or did you downloaded a game or app from the internet and want to burn it?

Not when he is using Alcohol 52% or DT Pro ;)

@Kall
If it's no RAW image just rename mdf to iso.
If RAW you have to adjust settings in nero (blocksize, header, etc.)

burning mdf as iso is pointless..
the mds is what contains the copy protection signature stuff....
burning it like that in nero is silly to say the least, as the burned disk will NOT contain the copy protection signatures etc....

general rule of thumb : burn images with the program that made them....

thanks for the info everyone. will give it a try

i'm just biased to nero and would rather use that program over the others but if i dont have a choice then i dont have a choice.

thanks again!

@TippeX
I assume if someone wants to burn with nero it's about unprotected material.

@Kall
Another option would be Astroburn

TippeX 09-11-2007 02:29

well if its about unprotected material, why use the mds/mdf format... iso would do the job, or even nero 'copy disk'.....

astroburn seems to suck hugely at the moment, its still in its infancy, until its major bugs are sorted out, i'd stay away from it and use something 'reliable'
