Xena,I don't manage to do a backup CD with my DC<>PC Serial cable:
1st:no transfert pbs.
2nd:I use GD Tool Rip by Beavis
What I do?
action/software & pgms/setting

un gzip/winpack/none
extract/dreamrip/extract for iso files
extract/dreamrip/raw2wav for raw files
Burning/Dc_Cdr/just follow procedure for a data cdr:
1st:Make Boot session
2nd:Put all my extracted files to Data folder
3th:Copy 1st_read.bin & Ip.bin in selfboot folder
4th:Press patch Boot.bin previously named 1st_read.bin in Dc_Cdr setting menu/Binhack.exe
5th:Replace in data folder 1st_read.bin & Ip.bin.
6th:Press Make an iso/Mkisofs.exe
7th:Press Patch iso/Ipins.exe
8th:Burn Cd/Cdrecord.exe (with the good setting (Id SCSI & offset))

Result:Doesn't work with my dreamcast

Note 1:When I put 'the backup' in my computer's cdrom it tell me:System files not supported !!!
Note 2:I prefer not to count how much cd I have missed for...
Note 3:I'm french & I ask myself if I fail 'cause of a language misanderstood in instruction readed' or if I need patch or something else to succeed...
Note 4:Done with Daytona cause there is only one iso track (think good choice of a first ripping try).

Last note:Give me a response please even if you answer me how OUT I'am 'cause I can't sleep anymore...
