Vampires:masquerade nocd crack..?

I have the game installed, just not the discs, so i download a crack on the 1.0 version of the game (Crack said that 1.0 and 1.1 were supported)
I then installed it and a backup file was made etc. Tried to play the game, error, no problem, theres a backup file which worked (when i used that file it asked for the CD as per)

Then i decided to try a different crack... deleted the backup file because... I'm a dumbass. Now, I'm scroooooded? No other crack is working either after this- be it the broken file or the fact they wouldnt have worked in the first place- its fine because i can get the discs back and my saves are secure, but just slightly annoying. Any way to fix this? And a crack that works?

EDIT
being the incredibly intelligent person I am... I remembered about Recycle bin, so I do have a very working Vampire.exe file, now I just need a crack that works, I've tried the ones on gamecopyworld and either I'm doing something wrong or it just wont work, i dunno. Anyone got any ideas?

Are you trying to play Redemption or Bloodlines?

Ah, sorry, I forgot there was two games.

Bloodlines.

Update to v1.2(official patch), the crack has two parts: the exe file and vampire.dll file. You have to replace vampire.dll file also. It can be found in a different folder of the game installation, so just search for it, back it up and replace it.
Should work fine.

Thank you! I updated to the 1.2 patch and installed that crack, but thought that the .dll file was just a random new one, not one I had to replace.
The game wouldnt let me play further than loading a game, where it would ask for a CD and crash, I hope that replacing the .dll file works :D

thanks again

Don't the unofficial 2.x patches remove the copy protection? (See http://www.patches-scrolls.de for game patches.)

No. There is no updates to the exe file.

The unofficial patches don't modify the original exe.
