Rome Total War: Help me help my 12 yr old
 

ok, he just bought rome total war/barbarian invasion. e have been trying to install this game for 4 days. i finally had to reinstall xp pro just to get the install to complete. now that we have it installed we put disk 1 into the drive and execute the game from the dektop icon. an error message appears asking to put the "correct disk in drive" or "no disk found". i cannot see the disk contents in explorer but can see every other disks stuff with no problem. if i take disk 1 to another pc it works fine. oddly enough the barbarian invasion disk will run and the game plays.

any ideas? my kid is having a cow.

you must download the crack for rome total war at www.gamecopyworld.com
and copy the crack to your game directory!
ps: you don't need at disc now!enjoy its a very good game it it my favorit!

that worked! the kid is much happier now.

That was NOT a correct fix for you my friend.

The one main reason why its not working with your original is quite possibly.

1. The disc is defected or warped in production.

2. Your CD-rom/DVD-rom etc is damaged and is not reading discs properly.


Using a crack is a temporary solution, but what happens when you cant install anything.

If you have another drive you can try with your machine then try it to eliminate if its your drive causing problems or not.
